These Attorneys are subject to the "Patentanwaltsordnung" (Regulations for Patent Attorneys) (Bundesgesetzblatt (Official Gazette) I, 1966, p. 557, most recently amended in the Bundesgesetzblatt I, 2001, p. 3656), the "Berufsordnung der Patentanwälte" (Professional Code for Patent Attorneys) (BOPA, Mitteilungen der deutschen Patentanwälte 1997, p. 243 ff.) and the "FICPI Standesregeln". All representatives authorized by the European Patent Office are members of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi) and are subject to the Disciplinary Regulations, the "Richtlinien des Instituts der beim Europäischen Patentamt zugelassenen Vertreter für die Berufsausübung", and the "Code of Professional Conduct" of epi (epi-Information 2/2001, p. 75).
