LEGAL SPECIALISMS

Design law

To protect the design of a product: by applying to the relevant office and registering their product, companies can take ownership of its design – we help you.

Design law serves to protect the form and colour of designs, be they of handcrafted, artistic or industrial origin.

In contrast to copyright law, design rights do not usually come into being “automatically” when a work is created, but rather through application to/registration with the relevant authorities.

Designs trigger emotions and therefore help to position products on the market.

This applies equally to simple consumer goods such as pens and bags and to complex products such as automotive parts, printing machines or entire production systems.
